If you’ve ever tried hunting for this specific screw, you may have learned that even Graflex only refers to it as a “Special Screw” in any service manuals. It indeed is a very special screw, as it has a large diameter head that retains the shutter release lever for a KE-12. (which are an iteration of Pacemaker Speed Graphic designed for military use)

Although this screw was machined specifically for KE-12 cameras, it is the same dimension of screw that is also used for the Anniversary and Pre-Anniversary Speed Graphics. However, on the Anni and Pre-Anni models this screw is not meant to ever be removed and is fixed in placed from the backside. On KE-12’s this screw is meant to be removed, but over time they may become lost or broken.
